Our trip to Glenwood Springs was awesome. First, we went to an adventure park and went on a cave tour, bunge jumping, and on a giant swing that sweeps you out over the ledge of a cliff! Brenlee had fun on a rollercoaster that you can make go as fast as you want. Then, we hiked to Hanging Lake. It is this really gorgeous lake that has a waterfall going into it. It was so blue!

For Easter, we hit up a couple of different egg hunts. The first one was so dumb because all of the parents ran out and pretty much trampled the kids, but Brenlee survived and was so excited to get a hug from the Easter Bunny.

Brenlee got a new bike from Grandpa Bart and Grandma Carrie. This is her first time riding it at our house. She was so happy that it was a "Re-punzle" bike.

Right before Christmas, we went downtown to look at the Christmas lights. It was so fun. Brenlee was in heaven and this is one of my favorite pictures. Brenlee's Panda was born!

Brenlee told Santa that she wanted a "pink tractor" for christmas. I'm sure it was very very hard for Santa, but she got one. We woke up at 1:30am christmas morning and Santa had already come before Jake had to work! Brenlee was so funny how excited she was! She kept saying "Santa loves me because he got me this!"

Everytime we took Brenlee to see Santa, she told him she wanted a "pink tractor". We have no idea where she got this, but all we could do was hope that Santa would pull through. Luckily he did! She woke up christmas morning at 2:00 am to not one, but two pink tractors. She was so excited!

Brenlee is in that stage that she says really cute things. Here are a few that I want to remember.

A few days ago, she found a baloon that she got when she was BORN. Jake told her where it came from and she came downstairs and said "I got this when I was BORING!"

She learned her Pledge of Allegience in daycare and this is it in her words: I pledge my legence to the fag of the nighted states of america, and to the repub lick for witch it stands, one nay shun under god, indespicable with liverty and just ice for all. But you have to hear her say this it is soooo cute!

See, I already forgot some of the other funny things! I need to write them down more.

Here is a little update: Jake got me and Brenlee a new puppy for Valentine's Day. Her name is Hannah and she is a cute white lab. She is so much fun! We cannot wait to take her camping and hiking this summer. But I forgot how much work puppies are! Yikes! I am taking kind of a break from school right now (only 2 classes) , but I am getting ready to go to RN school in the fall. Jake is going to be starting school next semester too. Brenlee is still LOVING preschool and dance class. Oh that reminds me, she calls her leotard her leed-o-tard! lol! Tomorrow in preschool she is having a Chinese New Year Party. They are making their own Chinese food and learning how to do the dragon dance! She is so excited, but she thinks the dragon is monster.

MY SISTER IS MARRIED! She looked so beautiful too! And I have a new brother named Jake! SO now there are two son-inlaws named Jake and my brother Jake! All 3 Jakes lol! Brenlee got to be her little flower girl and she was so cute in her dress! My sister, of course was gorgeous! And the wedding was so perfect!

I haven't been on here for awhile because things got so busy...but here is a little update! I got a job at the clinic right by our house as a nurse and it is soooo fun! I work mon-friday and get weekends and holidays off, so I like it! Brenlee is getting so big! Her favorite words now are "what I do mom?" and "What is THAAAAT?" She also loves to say that I am giving her a headache (I have no idea where that came from! lol) Jake is still loving his computer job, and we are hoping to get to go camping finally this year (this is sooo weird for us- we really haven't been) We did get to go to Bear Lake though with Grandma Darla and Grandpa Charlos (as brenlee calls him) and it was the best trip ever! Thanks guys!

GRADUATION

I am so excited! I am graduating on May 25th! Brenlee and Jake are going to have a mom and wife again! lol! I'm not kidding! It's kind of crazy that I am finally going to be a nurse! I just have to pass boards, but that is going to be easy compared to school! I finished clinicals last week, and this is my first night home, without homework.I would be out burning my "whites" in a bonfire right now, but our crazy teachers are making us wear them to graduation! I kind of feel weird being home this much! We have friends staying with us right now until they find a house, and I have barely seen them!
At my last clinicals, I got to work in OB! Man was it rough holding all those babies all day! I also got to see a nurse deliver a baby because the Dr. wasn't fast enough! It was so crazy!
I wanted to write on here what Brenlee is doing these days so I can remember them later! First of all, I think it is sooo cute that she calls swimming suits "women soups" and she always wants to go "wimming". We got chickens for her for Easter, and now they are her and Jake's favorites! She wakes up every morning and says "I wanna see the chickens!" Then she goes out side and heards them around the yard! I would say she is a cowgirl now (like Natalie) but chickens don't count, do they? We also take turns telling bedtime stories, and when it is her turn, she says "bedtime story....once upon a time.....THE END!" I guess you have to be there, but it is so funny! She is getting so big! I don't know what we would do without her!

We celebrated Christmas early this year because Jake has to work. Santa was good to us and came early! Brenlee got a little four wheeler and a new bedroom (minus the bed we are still trying to find) but Santa was showed up because she likes all the grandparent's presents the best! I am out of school until Jan 11th (yeah Baby) and I hate to brag but I got A's in all my classes and considering how impossible that was........I might frame it! lol. Jake is working really really hard! He taught Brenlee how to play the harmonica the other night and it was sooo cute! He said she can bend notes (whatever that means). We all are hoping for a baby for christmas (one that wants to stick around for awhile)! We decided we would try to keep this one a secret if it happens until we are past the scary 14 weeks but everyone knows that I could not make it! Probably not Jake either! I didn't make it to get christmas cards out this year, but we are thinking of everyone and love you all! Merry Christmas! Pitcures will be on here as soon as I get time!

We saw so much wildlife this trip! I finally got to see a Coyote. We had three Red tails right by our camp, and we sons tons of deer and elk. It was so funny because most of the deer were right in the hunters' camp that were gone out hunting. Just before we left, I took a picture of this bear track that was right by our camp! Yikes! We also found a huge cave. This is a picture from inside the cave to the opening.

Jake has to work, but we were suppose to be hunting this week, so we decided to take a drive up to Josie's cabin. It was really fun. We got rained on once again! We have been on millions of rides this year and have only stayed dry twice. We definately need to get the full enclosure for next year!

UPDATE: we are probably going to be hermits for the next sixth months. I am going to be working full-time, going to school full-time, and taking an extra class at Utah state that I got a scholarship for. Jake has been working long hours at work, and will be going to school too. Brenlee will spoiled rotten going to all the grandma's houses as much as possible and hopefully not feeling abandoned. We just have to make it throught sixth months.....that's what I keep telling myself! We miss everybody and hope everyone had a great summer! love ya

I got into the nursing program! I am so excited! I start in August! I have six months of LPN school, and then some more for RN, and then some more for LNP! But some day I will be making the big bucks! I feel like the biggest weight has been lifted off me! I was down to the wire all last week! The day before applications were due, I found out that I needed one more pre-req! luckily, I had already taken the class but when I got put on bedrest with Brenlee, I never took the final! My teacher let me take it the very last day! yikes! I had exactly 5 minutes left before the deadline when I finally turned in the test! Then I had trouble finding my immunizations, so I had to go get a few of them again!
I just found out that I got another scholarship to pay for school, but I am still trying to find a way to pay for day care when I quit my job! I am so excited though!

Thanks to the poop catastrophe, Brenlee got to have a big girl bed! I thought she would get up at night, but she doesn't! And she still takes her naps! It's nice though, because when she wakes up in the morning she comes and gets me, and she doesn't get bored and play with "cucka" as she calls it!

Ok So, I am so proud! Brenlee came in to our room the other day without a diaper on! I told her that she has to wear diapers until she is potty trained and showed her the "big girl potty." She was so funny! She sat on the potty for like an hour! Finally I went to get her off and she had pooped in the potty! It was my last day off work and she had to go to Natalie's the next day, so we'll have to start again next week! Hopefully she doesn't forget what to do! She cried this morning to sit on it though!

Jake is rubbing off on me :) It rained the whole time, but luckily jake made me by a cover for it, so Brenlee did not get one drop on her! She actually slept most of the time, but at the stops we woke her up so she could see the cute little towns! We saw one elk and a few deer, but one of the deer was a trophy!

So, all my co-workers and family have been trying to get me to go to an infertility specialist after this last miscarriage. So I called around and found a doctor who was supposed to be one of the best. I went to see him a couple of weeks ago.My intial impression was that he was awesome! He did a full work-up of tests on me and made me feel like we would find a reason, fix it, and not fail the next time. Unfortunately, all the tests came back fine! (I had about 20 different blood tests done). The nurse called me one morning and left a message about needing to talk to me right away. Then, the she didn't call me back for like a week. I finally got a hold of her yesterday, and she said that I might need a D & C, but that I could go to my regular doctor for that! Funny, since I had to get my records from him, and I am sure that he knew I went to another doctor! Then, last night, I got a bill for $128.00 for the office visit (not including lab work or ultrasound). And a friend of mine came into the clinic today who goes to my old doctor having the exact same lab work that I got from the new doctor! I just spent time and money to drive to SLC to get the same treatment! Yikes! Also the nurse told me on the phone "we recommend waiting a full year before becoming pregnant again". Those were the most devastating words I have ever heard besides "I'm sorry I don't see a baby."
P.S. I called the other dr. to get in with him and he is booked for next week!

3 Long, Wonderful Years!

So Jake and I have been married 3 years now! It has been so amazing! He even finally got me an anniversary card this year (and I forgot to get him one), which taught me to never give up on him! We had the best anniversary ever because we got to spend it with Brenlee! We went camping! My favorite! We figured out that she loves loves loves the water! It scared me to death. The river was really high, and she would just take off and try to jump in. I had to hold on to her the whole time. She is getting faster too! I was kind of a party pooper because I was sick, but we had the best time! I really want to tell anybody out there who is thinking about getting married or is just barely married to make it past that first year! Ours was really hard because we just had to many people pulling us in different directions, but we somehow resolved it, and now neither one of us could be happier. I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with him!

Jake was right. The baby was a girl! We found out a few weeks ago on a Thursday. The Ultrasound tech was 95% sure. I got to see her kicking around on the screen and sucking her little thumb. THen the next day I had contractions. THey were really bad, but I thought they were just to get rid of the clot. Then, on my next ultrasound the baby was completely gone. I am completely sick. I flushed my baby down the toilet. Since there was nothing left to do anything with, we decided to name her. I am sure she would have been beautiful (just like her sister) and I hope someday we get the chance to have another little girl because we were so excited about her. I have always loved the name Maddison and I know two wonderful girls with the name of Mckenzie, so I knew I couln't go wrong those names. I know that she is up in Heaven waiting for us and we will get to see her someday!

So I know everyone is probably sick of hearing about this bedrest stuff! But it is awful! I can't concentrate on school or anything else, so I've been sitting here "google-ing" It is making me even more scared! I think I have a problem! I keep looking up subchorionic hematomas, and some of it is good, but almost everyone has little teeny clots and of course I have a huge one (all the people with huge ones miscarry on the internet). My dr would be so mad at me if he knew I was looking this stuff up! I have an appointment tomorrow to see if the baby is still hanging in there and if I can be released from bedrest! I hope everything is good so that I can, but at the same time I know I am going to be scared at work that I will do something to make it come back again! Jeeze I'm so whiny!
We got a new puppy. One of my cousins has a Browning lab that they bred and they had one female left. Jake really wanted another dog to have a friend for Rocky because he gets so lonely, so they gave the girl to us! She is a black lab named Jemma! She is so sweet! We got lucky because she is already trained! And her timing couldn't be better because she keeps me really good company all day!I need it because Brenlee is staying at my mom's tonight because I can't lift her and they were going to take her to do some really fun things! Yesterday, she went to the petting zoo and they couldn't get her away from all the animals! She is crazy about them!

Still on Bedrest!

So I just have to vent! Jake had a couple days off this week, and I had cabin fever, so I had to get out of the house! I wasn't really on my feet that much, but everything got a lot worse! The pain, the bleeding, everything! Of course, by the time I decided to call the Dr., it was Friday and they aren't in clinic on Friday! They said they would have the nurse call me back to see if she could get the baby's heartbeat, but she never called! So me and Jake sat and worried (although he will say that I was the only one worried). Then, we went to both the hospitals' L&D's to see if they would check the heartbeat! But apparently, you have to be 20 weeks before they will let you up there. They told me to go to the ER! I think the ER has enough of our money from last weekend and we didn't want to wait arround, so we went and bought a heart beat monitor. It said it didn't work until the 3rd trimester, but we think we actually heard something! It sounds like a tiny little gallop! But we were still worried that it wasn't really the heartbeat and I knew I would have to wait until Monday to find out if the baby was still alive! Luckily, my work is wonderful and one of the U/S techs was still there. She said she would check for us, so we rushed in! And BAM! There is was! The best thing in the whole world to see (besides Brenlee's face)! Even though the clot is getting larger, the baby is doing wonderful! He has grown so much and he waved at us on the screen! He was moving so much he looked like he was dancing! We got to see all ten fingers and toes! I think that I saw it was a boy, but it's still early! Now I feel wonderful knowing he is alive and can barely feel the contractions! I really hope they never find out taht ultrasounds are bad though because Brenlee and this baby have had a lot of them! Hope everyone is doing well!

Bed rest! yikes!

So far the baby still has a strong heartbeat but I have been on strict bed rest since Saturday night! I have another Dr. appt on Tuesday to check for a heartbeat again! I am bleeding agian though and have really sever pain agian! I am trying to stay positive though this baby is a fighter! I think this is hard on Brenlee, I really am not supposed to lift her and she keeps coming up to me to pick her up! She is starting to say alot of words now! She holds my cell phone and says "halo" or hi! It is so cute! I am so bored! Jake is on days off tomorrow so I am so excited! He has to do everything right now, so I feel really bad for him! He is wonderful! Everytime I get feeling down he helps me focus on the positive and tells me everything will be ok. I love all my family and am grateful for all the support! Especially Natalie for watching Brenlee and cooking us dinner! Thanks guys! Keep Praying for us please.

Brenlee got into my makeup bag! I had to call poision control again (in january she had a baby lotion incident....maybe.....jake wasn't sure if she got any or not so we had to call) And thankfully, baby lotion and mascara are non-toxic in those brands!

We are having are second child! I am due on Nov 1, 2009, but I refuse to have two babies in November so I decided I am going to have the baby on Halloween!(we had Brenlee on Thanksgiving!) That way we will have a turkey and a pumpkin...jake says. Brenlee is sooo excited! She keeps rubbing my belly and saying babe! She is starting to talk a lot more, but you have to listen really hard to hear what she is saying! She's like a little parrot, so we have to be careful! :)
School is almost out for me, so we are planning on having a really fun summer! Our rino is all decked out now and we've already had a lot of fun on it! Thank goodness for spring!
Jake is still LOVONG his job! He gets a lot of days off... at least it seems like it!
We are so excited for this summer because Brenlee is finally big enough to do things! We just joined the Utah sxs club and are going on a group ride on April 18th and staying overnight! (cold)
We also have a trip planned to San Diego to take Brenlee to the zoo and Sea World! She loves animals sooo much! She goes crazy over any of them. I want to get her a bunny for Easter, but Daddy says no because he usually has to do all the work! lol
